The Salem Housing Authority was created under New Hampshire RSA 203:4, as a municipal (public) corporation. The Salem Housing Authority operates within the Town of Salem to provide decent, safe, sanitary, and affordable housing to low and moderate-income households. The Housing Authority consists of 5 members, which are appointed by the Town Council annually in April for 5-year terms. The Executive Director is appointed by the Commissioners.
