Household Hazardous Waste Day

The 2025 Household Hazardous Waste Day is scheduled for Saturday, October 18, 2025 - 8am - 1pm

COLLECTION SITE: 21 Cross St., DPW Garage, Parking Lot

Do you have chemical products in your home for the kitchen, bathroom, motor vehicles or lawn and garden? These products may be HAZARDOUS because they contain chemicals that are corrosive, explosive, reactive, flammable, or toxic.

Chemicals to be collected include Ammonia, antifreeze, motor oil, gasoline, arts & crafts supplies, batteries, bleach, creosote, drain cleaners, engine & radiator flushes, floor cleaners, herbicides, metal polish, muriatic acid, moth balls, oil-based paint, oven cleaners, paint thinner, pesticides, photo chemicals, pool chemicals, rodent killers, rust preventatives, solvents, sealants, transmission fluid and wood strippers/preservatives.

Unacceptable Chemicals include: LATEX paints, radioactive waste, including smoke detectors, explosives, pressurized fire extinguishers and unknown gas cylinders.
