Salem is required to sample for disinfection Byproducts (DBP's) on the second week of the first month of every quarter. Our second quarter samples were supposed to be taken the second week of April 2024 but because of a scheduling error were not taken until May 16, 2024. However, our samples taken in May, while outside of the mandatory scheduling period, met all drinking water standards.
The schedule has been adjusted and we are now back on the required schedule.
