Town Council

Overview

As per Section 1.2 of the Town Charter, Salem shall be governed by a Town Council - Town Manager form of government and the legislative body shall be an Official Ballot Town Council in accordance with RSA 49-D:3, I-a. 

The administration of the fiscal, prudential, municipal, and other affairs of the Town, with the governance thereof, shall be vested in a Town Council, shall be directed by a Town Manager, and shall consist of the various departments of the Town as established by this Charter and from time to time by the Town Council.
