Assessing

Responsibilities

The Assessing Department has the responsibility to discover and list all taxable property, maintain accurate ownership information, and process all request as pertains to the various programs offered under the laws of the State of New Hampshire.

Individual Property Assessments

Individual property assessments are available on the Assessing Records website.

Specific data available on the site includes lot size, ownership and sales information, photos, sketches, outbuildings, and specific data as pertains to the age and size of the building and other construction details. Residential and apartment properties include the number of rooms, baths, and bedrooms.

Revaluation

The Town of Salem conducts revaluations every 5 years as required by State law. The next revaluation will be conducted in 2026. The previous revaluation was completed in 2021.
