Building Safety Division

Inspectors are available from 8:30 to 9:30 am (permitting/counter hours) to discuss construction projects, answer questions, assist with permit applications, and for the issuance of permits. If you have technical questions and you are not able to come in during these permitting/counter hours, please email each inspector if Inspectional Services 603-890-2020 can not assist you.

When not in the office for counter hours, Inspectors are in the field performing inspections. To schedule an inspection, call the designated Inspection Line at 603-685-6415. Please listen to the message to understand how to call in your inspection request.

Electrical, plumbing, gas, and mechanical permit applications are accepted during our normal hours of operation (8:30 am to 5 pm). A copy of your license and photo identification will be required. Applicants are encouraged to ensure that any permit applications submitted outside of counter hours are complete and are accompanied by all necessary documents and information. Incomplete applications may delay permit issuance

Building permits must be submitted during permitting/counter hours only so the Inspectors are able to have a conversation with you at that time.
